February 2022 Affinity Group
The Fundamental Teachings of the Venerable Ajahn Chah
On three consecutive Wednesday evenings, February 9, 16 and 23, 6:00 - 7:30 pm (PST).
The Venerable Ajahn Chah was a world-renowned teacher in the Thai Forest tradition whom many of us find to be a tremendous source of inspiration and wisdom.
The primary intention of this Affinity Group group is to introduce and deepen each sangha member’s understanding and application of Ajahn Chah’s profound teachings into our daily lives. During the three weekly 90-minute sessions, we focused on one primary element from his teachings.
Registration & Donation Information
Sangha members Randall Harris and Carol Fernandes initiated this Affinity Group, and will serve solely as discussion facilitators; “we are not teachers and will not be offering interpretation, but simply providing the structure for thoughtful group dialogue.”

Each evening, we will review and discuss the assigned reading from Ajahn Chah’s teachings. As we explore these teachings, we encourage everyone to be mindful and to note your direct experience of the teaching.
Helpful guidelines for noting your experience from the assigned readings:
- What aspects do you find most compelling?
- What aspects might be confusing or not clear?
- What are you most interested in exploring further through group discussion?
- Lastly, what are the biggest opportunities for application in your daily life?
