Retreat Description: In this retreat, we will explore the timeless practice of meditation as a way to cultivate inner stillness and connect more deeply with presence. Through stationary and walking meditation, teachings, and silence, participants will be supported in developing a calm and centered mind, allowing for a deeper sense of joy and peace to arise. This retreat offers a space to rest in awareness, discover the heart of stillness within, and gain practical tools to bring mindfulness into daily life. Open to practitioners of all levels, it is a chance to reset, reconnect, and embrace the present with clarity and ease.

Below are a few details regarding this retreat. More information is provided after registration.

Prior residential retreat experience is helpful, but not required. Insight (Vipassana) residential retreats are for practitioners interested in deepening their meditation practice, and through their own experience, learn more about the Buddha’s teachings. The retreat will consist of alternating periods of sitting and walking meditation, Dharma talks and Q & A.

Generosity/Donations (dana) for Teacher & Staff: In keeping with the Buddhist practice of generosity, there will be an opportunity to offer dana to our teacher, retreat manager, and bodhi chef, all of whom are not being compensated for their efforts in supporting the retreat. Residential Retreat Scholarship Fund: The Mountain Stream community has generously contributed to this scholarship fund so everyone has the opportunity to attend residential retreats. Many thanks to those who have previously contributed and to those who can offer a donation going forward. A deep bow of appreciation for all generous offerings!
Mountain Stream offers a limited number of scholarships for our residential retreats. A partial scholarship allows for more people to benefit from financial support. Once registration opens, please contact our registrar to find out details about receiving a scholarship. It’s important to understand, even if a person does receive a scholarship, the livelihood of the Teacher and the Staff is directly supported by the donations graciously offered by the whole retreat community.

Accommodations: Harmony Ridge Lodge is a lovely venue for retreat. Each room is very spacious, can accommodate 2-3 people, and has a private full bathroom in every room.

Simple and delicious vegetarian meals will be served by our Retreat Chef.

Communication: Noble Silence will be practiced throughout the retreat except during the group sessions with Adam and during the Q & A period.

Health recommendations and protocols: Will be updated and communicated, if needed.
