Join us for a nourishing afternoon of mindfulness and creative exploration. Art has long served as a sanctuary from the busyness of life, offering a space for contemplation and feeding the creativity-starved soul. In this gathering, we’ll shift the focus from product to process, and from productivity to play.

With a beginner’s mind, we’ll immerse ourselves in the joy of creation, experimenting with various mediums and techniques. Mistakes will be welcome, “bad” art will be celebrated, and curiosity will guide our hands and hearts. The artist’s studio becomes a fertile ground for exploring spiritual concepts such as ego, the inner critic, judgment, surrender, joy, presence, the inner child, play, and breath. It’s all there, woven into the fabric of the creative process—waiting to be discovered in the paint, paper, and pens.

If traditional meditation and mindfulness techniques are a bit of a struggle for you, we invite you to come join us in the studio for an afternoon of ART & MINDFULNESS.

Bio: Chantelle Goldthwaite was born in 1970 among the foothills of northern California. As a professional and award-winning artist, she has been exhibiting up and down both the east and west coasts since 2005. Although not formally trained, Chantelle utilizes a wide range of mediums to bring her visions to life: painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, assemblage, sculpture, photography, textile, ceramics and jewelry making. She has honed her skills in various classes, workshops and community art centers across the country. Through her travels, she has collected her style, color palette and vivid interior landscape as one would collect souvenirs. She imagines a sense of place - the smells, the light - and then brings them forth in a visual narrative; a world of lush, vibrant color and universal imagery that invites and entices the viewer to lose themselves in her world.
